What's a Crustacean? Are there crabs and lobsters in the park? Nope. But these critters, like spiders and insects, are arthropods - jointed legged animals.
Crayfish have been found in the creeks along with one aquatic isopod (like a roly-poly or wood lice). More interesting are the burrowing crayfish. Their 'chimneys" have been seen in the park (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/303124358).
Understanding and Using the List
The common name is followed by the scientific name in parentheses. In some cases, there may be no common name.
Most of the links given are to the iNat post for that species. Click on it to read more about the observation, see images, and learn more about the species.
iNaturalist observations here include any classified as “research grade”. Those classified as “needs id” (not confirmed by others) were also used, but reviewed and when the identification was in question, were not used. As well, any identifications solely to family or genus level alone were omitted if there were other exact identifications for species within the group.
Errors in tabulation, grouping, or links may have occurred - these are a mess of data - the error is mine.
