Introduction
Trail 6 is a short trail – really just a section of the east side trail system that connects Trail 5 at Hickory Grove with Trail 7 at Lookout Point.
Along the Way
This narrow trail follows the ridge top and hugs the roadway in places and the cliff edge in others, dipping only slightly down the canyon wall. It has two features that each are more visible during leaf-out. First, it allows a look back at Tunnel Falls and second, it provides a striking glimpse across the canyon.
Using Trail 6
Start at Hickory Grove picnic area and head up to Lookout Point (junction with Trail 7) - or the reverse) then:
return on the trail or using the Canyon Road - OR -
continue on with Trail 7 to Big and Little Clifty Falls, then return on the trails or using the Canyon Road.
The Park property map classes Trail 7 as ~ 0.50 mile moderately rugged trail.
